Mark is the Senior Vice President of Loan Administration for Starion Financial .  Altogether, Mark has been in banking for 30 years, 26 of them with Starion.

Mark is also a Board member of the Mandan Growth Fund, the Mandan Lions, and Ducks Unlimited. He has also served as Past President of the Oakes Chamber of Commerce, the Oakes Lions,  Big Brothers-Big Sisters of Bismarck, and the Southeast Regional Development Board in Jamestown.  He is the Chairman of CommunityWorks North Dakota's Lending Committee.

He attended Northern State University in Aberdeen and numerous banking schools, including the University of South Dakota, the University of Minnesota, and the University of Wisconsin.  He received his graduate degree in Banking from the University of Colorado in Boulder.

Mark's outside interests include hunting, fishing, golfing, and skiing.
